Compton Guest House - London

This place is great, and has everything I need, free Wi-Fi, tv, electric kettle, and VIP check-in. I remember how the staff helped me find my way on my first stay. I recommend staying here for a relaxing weekend.

I had double room with windows overlooking garden and exceptionally comfortable bed. Next to a tube station, the location was excellent and good, very close to Wimbledon station. The hotel was off the main road.

The rooms were big with very comfortable beds, the staff were helpful. The location was good and incredible, in the Wimbledon district and close to a subway station.

Comfortable room setups made it easy to unwind.

The lack of basic amenities like a hair dryer and kettle meant I frequently had to trek downstairs for hot drinks. There was only cold water available in the lobby, and the overall attention to guests seemed sidelined due to the owner's focus on their school commitments.

The location is unbeatable, being right near the Tube station. The shower facilities offer clean, hot water with a strong flow.

The promised hair dryer and kettle were absent in the room, leading to frequent trips downstairs for hot drinks, which can be frustrating. The toilet cistern's make-do stick for flushing was like a tacky fix rather than a proper solution. The TV reception was virtually non-existent, and the WiFi was weak. For a supposedly cozy atmosphere, the cold, laminate flooring really dampens the vibe, especially in the evenings.

Just a commendable fit for a quick layover in London with great value. The male staff were a bit odd, but the female staff were friendly and said goodbye and thank you. Bring cash as they insist on it for payments.

The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the Wimbledon Tube Station, making it easy to explore London.

Absolutely dreadful experience! Hair dryer wasn't even in the room, despite promises. Tv reception woudl ve been better at home! I expected a complimentary bottle of champagne for enduring these issues but instead received nothing! This was a highlight of my trip, not in a good way. Turn the attention to guests, not schoolchildren!

I really enjoyed my stay here, especially with how cozy the double bed was and the lovely hot shower. The peaceful garden area was perfect for unwinding with some coffee, and there's a nice little patio to enjoy the fresh air too. The WiFi was a bit shaky at times, but it didn't bother me much since I was there to relax anyway. 😊

Recommend it for solo travelers

I loved how the owner really went out of their way to,, even accommodating my late check-in. The double bed was something else, seriously comfortable with a private shower that had lovely hot water. And after I checked out, they let me leave my luggage for a few hours, so I could explore a bit more.

It was a little pricey, but honestly, worth it for the comfort and convenience.

Surprisingly decent stay!

I booked a dorm for two nights and was surprised by how clean and comfy it was. Showers had hot water and nice pressure. I was alone the first night! The only bummer was the kitchen was pretty basic, but for the price, can't complain. Met some cool folks in the end, too.

Our experience at the 3-star Compton Guest House was great. The hotel's location next to the Wimbledon tube was marvelous and the room was inviting with very comfortable beds and clean towels. Everything was excellent.
